The questions on the test were not really hard, they were tricky. The great thing about PHP in general is that there are so many great resources to find something out really quickly. Also the problems could be easily solved by just running the script and seeing the output. You get 90 minutes to answer 70 questions. If you are studying for the tests you don’t need to worry about time, I finished the test in under 30 minutes. Here is a link to my official certification page. The Zend site for the Engineers sucks, so don’t expect too much.

Lasty just a few updates:
Drew found a fix for the stupid OS X terminal problem. Turns out if you have a corrupt font as your font in terminal OS X can’t have the screen size bigger than the close button. Maybe spend a few more minutes to get the basics down rather than having things look so pretty okay apple?
I moved to Irvine.

I would still expect that they would focus to some extent on layout as well. Stuff is all over the place in ff and just looks plain bad in opera. Not surprisingly it looks decent in lynx though (other than the lack of a menu due to the flash)

It is really awesome with all of the wobbly windows and rotating cube. I have a quick screencast below for you to see. The screencast tool that I used (ffmpeg) doesn’t like to capture video larger than 1280x1024 so this is just the left monitor, but you get the idea. Just imagine that there is another monitor to the right of all of this. Here is a link to the actual avi in mpeg4 format
